India Pistons Limited and Shaw Development formed a Joint Venture (JV) to manufacture reliable and cost-effective DEF solutions for heavy duty vehicles (CV and Off-Road) and diesel engine manufacturers to meet the stringent Bharat stage VI, TREM IV, TREM V, CEV IV and CEV V exhaust emission norms. This also enables meeting CAFÉ-2 norms, as SCR systems would improve engine fuel economy.

Through this JV, India OE manufacturers will have a local partner for DEF reservoirs, sensors, modules, filters, caps, and other fluid management solutions as a complete offering.

This venture combines Shaw’s global manufacturing and R&D expertise in advanced fluid management technologies with IPL’s leading manufacturing expertise and market presence to enable “make in India” for a better environment with a mandate of Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India).
