Surya Khurana is the Managing Director at FlixBus India, in charge of leading the global mobility platform in one of the largest bus markets in the world. Surya is an experienced global leader with Indian roots, who has scaled up businesses and teams in different regions and verticals within the mobility space. His core competencies include product launches, supply and demand growth, business strategy and planning, public policy, strategic partnerships and business development, as well as B2B and B2C sales. Surya completed his undergraduate education in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and holds an Executive Education certificate in Strategy and Leadership from Harvard Business School.

Before returning to India on a mission to transform long-range mobility, Surya was a Product Management lead for Uber, working with their Global Advertisement team, prior to which he was spearheading strategy and global expansion for Uber’s High-Capacity Vehicle (Uber Bus) offering. Over a period of almost a decade at Uber, Surya helped launch and scale Uber to multiple markets in India and played a key role in expanding the company’s footprint in the mobility ecosystem.

Passionate about creating positive social and environmental impact, Surya contributes to a number of causes in his free time. Surya is currently based in Delhi, where he lives with his parents.
