Shailesh is the leader of Marketing, Growth initiatives & Program Management for the Engine business at Cummins India. In this role, he is responsible for driving growth and innovation through product planning, market strategy, and the development of new technologies such as hydrogen energy, electrification, fuel cells, and integrated powertrains.
A seasoned leader in the commercial vehicle industry with over 22 years of experience, Shailesh is a strong promoter of growth & innovation in the Indian commercial vehicle industry. He has been actively involved in various forums and committees focused on introducing new technologies to enhance customer value proposition, safety, and driver well-being. Before Cummins India, Shailesh held key roles at TATA Motors and Daimler Trucks, where he successfully launched new products, managed product portfolios, and developed go-to-market strategies.
Shailesh is a Chemical Engineer with a Master’s in Business Administration from the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS). He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Automotive Systems Engineering from Loughborough University, United Kingdom, specializing in Hybrid, Electric & Fuel Cell Powertrain.
