Mohit started his entrepreneurial journey relentlessly pursuing his idea to make car and two-wheeler buying simple in India. With this motivation in mind he founded CarWale and BikeWale. Both the companies went on to become the benchmark of how cars and bikes were bought, sold and advertised using digital media in India. Today 3 out of every 4 car buyers In
India use CarWale in their car buying journey. He later sold CarWale in a $120 million exit to CarTrade and then further raised more than $250 million for the combined entity.

Mohit is now the CEO of Chalo, India’s #1 public transport technology company powering more than 20 million bus rides daily across 31 Indian cities. With a promise to make everyday bus travel a safer and more reliable experience, Chalo provides live bus tracking services and digital payment solutions for bus commuters in India. With a strong technology enabling live-tracking of more than 15,000 buses and an ever-expanding range of digital ticketing solutions, Chalo is fast transforming the public transportation system in India.

Mohit also founded and led a software development start-up from 2003-2005 and prior to that served on the management teams at other companies. Mohit holds a Bachelor of Science degree and an MBA in Finance.
