Mr Kushal Banerjee has recently taken over as Head – Technical Services-(Lubes and Specialties) Dept of HPCL as General Manager- Technical Services – Direct Sales. This Department is responsible for all the OE approvals/Product trials/New Product development and interaction with major bodies like- RDSO/CQAPP, ARAI, SAE, NLGI, etc and also liaising with ministerial bodies like PCRA/TERI under Ministry.

Mr Banerjee has a professional experience of over 30 years in oil and gas industry. He started his career in HPCL as a Sales Engineer- TS at Mumbai and has worked in different marketing arms of HPCL viz Technical Services, Retail, and Direct Sales across India. He was the Head of Retail Lubes Sales before taking over this assignment and was involved in major branding/promotion activities across segments and new product-pack launches which drew appreciation from peers/competition. Was actively involved in signing after-market tie ups with OEs like Royal Enfield/Bajaj/Force Motors and Hella. Packaging innovation during his tenure received Golden Peacock awards and brands like Racer 4 and Neosynth were acknowledged as most admired brands in the market.

Was a part of Project Akshay and Akshaypath of the Corporation and identified as emerging leader of HPCL

Mr. Banerjee has done his B.E (Engineering) in Mechanical Engineering from REC (now NIT), Durgapur and his ex. MBA in Marketing from Symbiosis, Pune. He is a certified Assessor by Ernst and Young for evaluation of competitive ability of the young officers in HPCL.
