Isuzu Engineering Business Centre / Isuzu Motors India I was a key Steering Committee member of the initial senior management team establishing Isuzu Motors India operations. I was heading the complete purchasing division, which included sourcing (direct, indirect, and exports of parts), supplier quality, and supply chain. I reported directly to the president and managing director. Successfully met various localization targets for different models of Pick-ups, leading to Isuzu Motors India becoming a hub of exports to nearby countries and GCC countries (Gulf Cooperation Council). Today, Isuzu vehicles are made in India and are very well accepted there.

Was Head of the Purchasing function at Tata Motors for the combined entity of Commercial and Sports Utility Vehicles with a buying value of INR 37,000 cr. Was part of the elite top management committee (MANCOM) of Tata Motors Commercial Vehicle Business, reporting directly to the Executive Director & Business Head.

Others:

I was the co-chairperson of the SIAM – Atma Nirbhar Bharat sourcing group. I was one of the founding members of the SIAM Sourcing group, representing Tata Motors / Isuzu Motors for 15 years. As per the Govt of India’s guidelines, I was one of the key persons representing SIAM in formulating a strategic road map to reduce imports of auto components. I had specific responsibilities in steel, tire, and tooling. I had several interactions across OEMs and have presented and participated as an expert speaker in forums like ACMA, TAGMA & ASPA as per invite.
