Joined Ashok Leyland in June 1984, as a Graduate Engineer Trainee. Worked in the Product Engineering – in various areas including Entire vehicle evaluation, Vehicle engineering and Driveline, Brake & Steering system design and development.
With Ashok Leyland till December 2009, except for a short time span form November 1999 till March 2003. In the intervening period, led a transmission team in a green field two wheeler power train manufacturing organisation called Hero Briggs and Stratton.
Joined Daimler India Commercial Vehicles in January 2010 in Product Engineering as General Manager, responsible for Transmission, Axles, Brakes and Steering. In April 2016, was promoted as Vice President, Product Engineering leading DICV Product Engineering function and also for Entire Vehicles (Non-Triad markets)
