Senior Deputy Director & Head Homologation Management Regulations & Vehicle Evaluation at The Automotive Research Association of India
Sh. A. A. Badusha has been associated with the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), Pune, since 1988, and is presently heading the Vehicle Evaluation Laboratory, Homologation Management and Vehicle Regulatory functions, in the capacity of Senior Deputy Director.
He is basically a Mechanical Engineering graduate and a rank holder from the University of Madras specialized in Automobiles and also holds a Master’s degree in Business Management.
With rich experience of 30 years encompassing various technical areas, and in particular in the field of Vehicle Evaluation, he is an active member of various technical committees, viz. “CMVR – Technical Standing Committee(TSC)”, “Automotive Industry Standards Committee (AISC)”, TED committees of Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), World Forum WP-29 (GRRF) and other Sub-committees of the CMVR-TSC. He is the Convenor of various technical panels and notable of them are the following.
(a) Construction of Bus Body for Safety and NVH
(b) Construction of Truck Body.
(c) Construction of Trailer.
(d) Construction of Ambulances
(e) Construction of Motor Caravans
He is presently the Chairman of the TED-22 Committee of BIS on Trailers and TED-04 Committee of BIS and Management Committee Member for all SAE INDIA and SAE INDIA Western Section activities. Also, he is the Secretary of the India-GRRF group dealing with Brakes and Running Gears and participates in International forum for Harmonization of vehicle standards at UN-ECE, Geneva.
