Mr. Rairikar is having more than 30 years of experience in ARAI on design, development, and optimization and testing of CNG/LPG engines/vehicles. Before joining ARAI, he worked for total 4 years in R&D Division of Bajaj Auto and Tata Motors Ltd . He is heading Alternate fuel Centre at ARAI under guidance of Dr SS Thipse, Sr Dy Director. He has successfully completed more than 50 projects for development of CNG/LPG engines for various applications like 2/3 wheelers, SUVs Cars, Gensets and multi cylinders Naturally Aspirated/ turbo charged for Bus & truck applications.

He has played a key role in execution of various projects of national importance including technical evaluation of Ethanol- Gasoline blends (E20 and E10) for its use as an alternate fuels and is involved in a study on evaluation of Methanol- Gasoline blend (M15).

He has won award for Best Indian Paper on Environmental Pollution for development of Diesel ethanol Engine  in SIAT 2021.

Played active role in drafting of AIS standards AIS 024 & AIS 25, draft regulations. Sealed 9 patents in the field of CNG/LPG engine development.

Recipient of Barcelona International Award in the year 2005 & has published more than 30 international papers.
