Aniruddha Kulkarni is Vice President and Head Engineering for Commercial Vehicles, at Tata Motors Ltd. With a distinguished career spanning more three decades, he has made significant contributions to Automotive Research & Development and Project Management in both India and Europe. Prior to his tenure at Tata Motors, he held senior leadership positions at over prominent automotive companies.

Within Tata Motors, Aniruddha Kulkarni oversees the Research & Development efforts across the entire spectrum of Commercial Vehicles, encompassing Battery Electric, Fuel Cell, and Defence Vehicles. This includes traditional Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicles, as well as advancements in Alternate Fuels, Connected Vehicles, Autonomous technology, and other cutting-edge Automotive technologies.

Armed with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Post-Graduation in Systems Management, he exhibits a profound enthusiasm for Research and Development, emerging technologies, and the formulation of both short-term and long-term strategies within the automotive domain. His expertise extends to navigating regulations and governmental policies pertinent to the industry. Additionally, he has completed Executive Leadership programs at prestigious institutions such as Michigan ROSS School of Management-USA, MIT-Sloan School of Management-USA, IMD-Switzerland, ESMT-Berlin further enriching his skill set.

Presently, he also serves as a Member for the Screening & Apex Committee within the Ministry of Heavy Industries and holds the position of Chairman of the Technical Committee for the Industrial Accelerator program facilitated by the Industrial School of Business, as part of the “Enhancement of Competitiveness in the Capital Goods Sector – Phase II” initiative. His leadership extends to chairing various initiatives at esteemed organizations like SIAM and ARAI, including PEMC.
