Nishant Arya is the Vice Chairman of $2.2 billion Indian conglomerate JBM Group. Enriched with education from Bradford University, UK and London School of Economics, he has been instrumental in transforming the group since 2010.

Mr Arya has worked in various multi-national companies within Europe & Japan for two years. These stints gave him exposure to global processes and work culture. He regards this as a great learning experience. He was able to incorporate his learnings while developing JBM’s philosophy and DNA, which today focuses on TIP – enhancing TECHNOLOGY, enabling
INNOVATION and developing PEOPLE within the organization. With a strong drive to achieve more, Mr Arya has diversified the business from auto components & systems to various diverse sectors and a name to reckon within each of these domains. He has been actively looking at R&D, Engineering, Diversification, International Business and new projects. His visionary leadership has been instrumental in planning various technical collaborations and joint ventures with renowned foreign companies including buyouts. These include some key domains such as Electric Vehicles & Buses, EV Charging Infra, EV Aggregates, Engineering & Design, Renewable Energy, Artificial Intelligence, etc. Amongst the important JVs done under his
directorship are the alliances with prestigious names like Arcelor Mittal, Dassault Systemes, JFE Steel Corporation, Sumitomo Corporation, Toyota Tsusho, Magnetto (CLN Group), Ogihara, Solaris Bus & Coach and various others.

Today, the Group’s portfolio spans across 60 manufacturing plants and 5 engineering & design centres in 10 countries. With a major industrial presence for more than three decades, the Group has been conferred with numerous recognitions, awards and accolades globally. It continues to maintain a stable foundation while spearheading change. Under Nishant’s leadership, JBM introduced India’s first true low floor city bus – ‘CITYLIFE’ that is already redefining the dynamics of the public transportation with first of its kind innovative features that ensure enhanced comfort, safety and security for the commuters. More recently, with the unveiling of ‘ECOLIFE’– India’s first 100% electric bus, JBM Group has committed that its electric buses will be clocking 1 billion e-kms in 3 years, thereby, saving around 300 million litres of diesel and approximately 1 billion kg of CO2.
