Mr. Prasanna Patwardhan is currently the Chairperson & Managing Director at the Prasanna Group
The Prasanna Group was founded by Shri Keshav Waman Patwardhan, father of Shri Prasanna Patwardhan, the current Chairman & Managing Director of the Group. Shri Prasanna Patwardhan is a science graduate with professional management education. He is also an avid fan of sports and has himself represented in Indian Basket Ball team, was a Skipper of Maharashtra team apart from being a Coach and a Member on the Board of Sports at University and State level.
Shri Prasanna Patwardhan has been instrumental in introducing new activities such as passenger, goods transportation, domestic/international tours & travels and highway restaurants/motels. He has consolidated the group activities by taking the annual group turnover from mere 3.0 lacs to 250+ crores. The Prasanna Group can today boast of being one of the biggest transport company of the country which manages a fleet of 1000+ vehicles ranging from Indica cars to Volvo buses and small tempos to multi-axle trucks and provides employment to more than 4000 people. Such exponential growth has been accomplished through his Visionary Business acumen and the respect that he commands within the business fraternity.
The Prasanna Group, has a long history of more than 25 years in transportation. It has highly trained and motivated team of professionals handling the operations 24/7 which works efficiently with standardized systems and processes. The Group has an array of mobility solutions including City and Intercity scheduled bus services, Bus and Car rentals, Corporate and school bus services, Hop on Hop off city sightseeing services and domestic/international tours and travel services for Corporate and individuals. The Group understands the concept of human logistics very well due to the vast experience of carrying passengers through its City and Intercity bus services. Today the Group serves 4 Million Passengers per day through its city buses and 5000 passengers per day on intercity buses.
