Head of Marketing at Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Pvt. Ltd
Mr. Michael Stroband is currently the Head of Marketing and accounts responsible for Marketing, Product Management and Dealer Network for BharatBenz in India. Coming from a banker’s background, he studied International Economics with automotive focus at the Center of Automotive in Bergisch Gladbach/Germany, Spain and South Africa. He joined Daimler AG in 2008 as an In-house Consultant for Marketing & Sales with focus on own retail network.
In his 10 years association with Daimler, Mr. Stroband handled global assignments in Germany, Venezuela and Canada before he came to India in 2014. Prior to his assignment in India, he was responsible as Head of Sales Strategy for Mercedes-Benz Cars Germany.
When he joined Daimler India Commercial Vehicles he switched from Marketing& Sales to the other end of the value chain and worked in Supply Chain Management for 3 years. During his tenure in the Supply Chain, he spearheaded Exports Planning Operations, building up and establishing a state of the art CKD (Completely Knocked Down) facility and securing CKD launches in Africa, South America and South-East Asia.
With fleet aggregation and digitization the supply chains are evolving and that has started reflecting in truck capacities and off take. What’s next?
